My flatmate Nina today showed me this amazing book called 'The Perfect Medium - Photography and the Occult'. Back the 1890's-1930's a whole bunch of people believed that cameras could reveal the spirits of the dead, and some photographers set up practices in which their subjects could have their pictures taken with ghouls and spectors.
